Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Sublette 9 Proposal

I guess it will come as no surprise to Sublette 1 residents that the Sublette 9 proposal to share BOCES and Recreation mill revenues has generated a lot of questions. In an effort to increase awareness regarding this issue, we have developed a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. It is our hope that this will help you gain a better understanding of the Sublette 9 proposal and how it would affect our school district, our students, and our community.

Additionally, you can find a fact sheet regarding the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) and the Sublette 1 BOCES below. The Sublette 9 proposal would reduce the funding to these organizations by 1/3. The BOCES and PAC boards have yet to determine which programs would be reduced or eliminated should the proposal be approved by the Sublette 1 Board of Trustees. This information will be presented to the Sublette 1 Board of Trustees at their March 10th meeting. The fact sheets list the programs and services provided by the BOCES and PAC. We ask that you take a moment to review these sheets. This information will also be available on the District website at http://www.pinedaleschools.org.

Our Board of Trustees is interested in knowing how you feel regarding this issue. You can email the Sublette 1 Board of Trustees directly at schoolboard@pinedaleschools.org. There will also be a community impact meeting on March 22nd in the auditorium to allow Sublette 1 constituents to provide input to the Board of Trustees. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to send a letter or email your thoughts to the Board.
